Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Hospital Eureka in California is seeking a Cardiovascular/Interventional Imaging Technologist to perform advanced procedures and support patient care in the Cath Lab.

The role requires ARRT, California Radiologic Technologist license, ARRT national certification, and BLS; training and mentorship may be available for those advancing into interventional imaging.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT School or equivalent education/experience.
• California Radiologic Technologist license upon hire.
• National Certification from ARRT upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Job description

St. Joseph Hospital Eureka is offering a $20K extended bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Under general direction of the Department Manager and/or Lead Technologist, and in collaboration with the Medical Director of the Cath Lab, cardiologists, radiologists, and other medical staff, the Cardiovascular/ Interventional Imaging Technologist is responsible for the performance of advance cardiovascular and interventional imaging procedures. Serves as a customer service representative to patients, their families, the public, and the medical staff. Participates in quality assurance and organizational improvement activities. Provides age-appropriate care (e.g., assists with data collection and providing care) for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

This position is full-time and will work 10-hour day shifts. In addition to experienced Cardiovascular Technologists, we encourage Radiologic Technologists interested in advancing their careers into cardiovascular and interventional imaging to apply. Training and mentorship opportunities may be available for qualified candidates.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of ARRT School, orequivalent education/ experience
• California Radiologic Technologist upon hire
• National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Associationupon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional training in angiocardiography, orequivalent education/ experience
• Advanced registration from ARRT in Cardiovascular and Interventional imaging upon hire
• 2 years of experience as a scrub technician in an acute care hospital
