Job summary

The State of South Carolina Department of Insurance seeks a Captives Supervising Financial Analyst to oversee captive analysts and supervise risk-focused financial analyses for insurers. You will ensure quality review of IPS/GPS, use NAIC tools, and coordinate with regulators and executives on risk findings.

Responsibilities include supervising complex reviews, analyzing annual and quarterly financial statements, and guiding staff development within the Captives Division based in Charleston

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, finance or insurance and relevant professional experience.
• Insurance designation or progress toward attainment is desirable.
• At least 3 years of financial analysis experience in the insurance sector.

Responsibilities

• Supervise captive financial analysts conducting risk-focused financial analyses.
• Review, challenge and revise Insurer Profile Summary and related analyses.
• Coordinate with regulators and company executives on identified risks and actions.
