Job summary

Sítio El Tropicano, a vibrant riverfront resort in San Antonio, seeks a Lead Captain / Sommelier for Barberry. You will lead dining-room operations, provide polished wine service, and guide the team to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Reporting to the F&B Manager, you will train staff on wine, manage inventory, and collaborate on events. The role requires at least three years in front-of-house leadership and strong wine knowledge within a luxury hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of front-of-house experience in a chef-driven, fine-dining, luxury hotel, or similarly elevated restaurant environment.
• Certification in wine service preferred (Sommelier or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of wine regions, varieties, and food pairings.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily dining-room operations and serve as a visible on-floor leader.
• Provide polished, knowledgeable wine service and guest engagement.
• Guide pre-shift meetings, section assignments, and service pacing.
