Job summary

Clay Lacy Aviation is seeking a highly experienced Lead Captain for Gulfstream GV operations based out of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (KAUS). The role requires PIC of Gulfstream GV on domestic and international flights, with a focus on safety, leadership, and mentorship.

Full-time position with competitive compensation and fully paid medical premium. Responsibilities include pre-flight planning, flight monitoring, and effective communication with ATC and passengers.

Qualifications

• ATP certificate required.
• Gulfstream G-V type rating.
• Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
• FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
• Minimum of 4,000 hours total flight time.
• Minimum of 2,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) turbine time.
• Minimum of 1,000 hours PIC in multi-engine jet aircraft.
• Minimum of 500 hours PIC in Gulfstream GV aircraft.
• International experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) of Gulfstream GV aircraft, operating domestic and international flights.
• Ensure all flights are conducted safely and in compliance with regulations and procedures.
• Conduct thorough pre-flight planning including weather analysis, NOTAM review, performance calculations, and route optimization.
• Monitor aircraft systems and performance during flight and make appropriate decisions.
• Communicate effectively with air traffic control, ground personnel, and passengers.
• Complete all required flight documentation accurately and timely.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to other crew members.
