Job summary

Clay Lacy Aviation in San Jose, CA is seeking a highly experienced Lead Captain for the Gulfstream G600 based at KSJC. The Lead Captain will serve as PIC on domestic and international flights, mentoring crew and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• FAA ATP certificate required and Gulfstream G600 type rating.
• Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate and FCC radiotelephone permit.
• Minimum of 4,000 hours total flight time and PIC experience.

• Ability to mentor crew and uphold safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) of Gulfstream G600 on domestic and international flights.
• Ensure safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance across operations.
• Conduct thorough pre-flight planning and route optimization.
• Monitor systems in flight and communicate with ATC and passengers.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to flight crew and First Officers.
• Maintain CRM and participate in safety programs and documentation.
