Job summary

manpowe seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead capital projects in a growing, highly automated manufacturing operation producing specialty ingredients for food, beverage, and industrial applications. The role offers ownership from concept through startup and requires balancing technical design with project management and field execution.

You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, partner with cross-functional teams, and ensure safety, quality, and reliability while delivering on time

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in project engineering/PM in manufacturing.
• Experience managing multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, project execution, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from concept to completion, ranging from $25K to $3M+.
• Develop scopes, estimates, schedules, and appropriation requests.
• Manage design, procurement, construction, startup and final acceptance.
• Identify process improvements to boost throughput, efficiency, and quality.
• Develop PFDs, plant layouts, and P&IDs; review drawings and specs.
• Prepare bid packages; evaluate contractor proposals and vendor submissions.
• Monitor field construction and ensure compliance with standards and requirements.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, process engineering, and leadership.
