Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks an Electrician/Journeyman to lead the maintenance of electrical systems campus-wide, including high and low voltage, generators, alarms, and data/telecom wiring. You will install, repair, and inspect equipment per codes and plans.

The role requires a valid Journeyman Electrician certificate and a NM or TX driver’s license, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights. Apprenticeship or equivalent experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Two years of electrical apprenticeship or equivalent required.
• Valid Journeyman Electrician certificate.
• Valid New Mexico or Texas driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the work activities of the crew and coordinate assigned projects.
• Install, repair, and maintain emergency lighting, fire alarm, data/voice/fiber, and other electrical systems.
• Operate electrical testing equipment to locate and diagnose faults from plans and work orders.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and document findings for planning.
• Take calls for problems and respond to issues promptly.
• Tag replaced bulbs and equipment for lifecycle records.
• Prepare material lists for projects.
• May serve on campus committees and perform other duties as assigned.
