Lone Star College System is seeking an Electrician Technician III to perform campus-wide maintenance on electrical, lighting, and HVAC systems across multiple buildings. The role emphasizes safe, compliant work and coordination with campus teams on SOPs and safety standards.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, 7+ years of experience, and a Journeyman Electrician license; a Texas driver's license is also required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED plus 7 years' experience.
• Journeyman Electrician license required.
• Valid Texas driver's license and insurance eligibility.
• Preferred: Master Electrician license.
• Experience with HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and participates in preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical, lighting, and HVAC systems.
• Maintains daily work orders/records and produces periodic reports.
• Conducts weekly, monthly and annual inspections of facilities/equipment.
• Repairs and/or replaces electrical components in campus buildings.
• Troubleshoots voltages up to 480 volts and services related systems.
• Assist with vendor selection and procurement of equipment/services.
• Follows safety guidelines and may work weekends or irregular hours.
