Phoenix Zoo is seeking a Supervisor of Camp Zoo & Family Programs to lead the Learning & Engagement team, hire and manage staff, and oversee age-appropriate curricula and schedules. This role emphasizes program quality, cross-team collaboration, and strong guest services.

Responsibilities include training Camp staff, coordinating with partners, and supporting Night Camp initiatives. A flexible schedule and bilingual communication are valued to serve diverse audiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in education, biology/environmental science, environmental education or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year paid experience facilitating informal or formal group educational experiences.
  • Minimum 1 year experience supervising/managing teams delivering informal group experiences preferred.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.
  • Strong communication, guest service, and leadership skills.
  • Bi-lingual English-Spanish preferred.
  • Experience presenting to varied ages; adaptable and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train and supervise Camp Programs staff and volunteers.
  • Oversee curriculum development and schedules for ages 5–15, young children 0–5 and events.
  • Coordinate logistics with internal and external partners; ensure program records and budgets.</n>
  • Support Night Camp programming when needed and contribute to Education Leadership Team.
  • Assist with marketing activities and promotion of family programming.
