Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino is seeking extraordinary Hardware Engineers to take ownership in the development and system integration of high-performance, compact camera modules and depth-sensing hardware for iPhone products.

You will lead design, testing, and qualification across camera hardware, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver cutting-edge imaging capabilities. This role may involve travel to supplier facilities and intense integration work.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optics, Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Experience in design, manufacturing or integration of optomechanical products.
• Ability to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Define trade‑offs for RGB camera systems to meet design constraints.
• Collaborate with optical, electrical, process, controls, sensing, test and mechanical teams on camera hardware integration.
• Lead offshore manufacturing partners on design evaluation, prototypes, and qualification.
• Lead failure analysis and corrective actions at manufacturing sites and remotely.
