Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking extraordinary Hardware Engineers to own the development and integration of high-performance camera modules and depth-sensing hardware for Apple products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in a relevant field (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optics, or equivalent).
  • Experience in design, manufacturing, or integration of optomechanical products.
  • Ability to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Define and trade-off RGB camera optics, sensors, actuators, and packaging.
  • Coordinate with optical, electrical, process, controls, systems, sensing, test, and mechanical teams for integration of camera hardware into products.
  • Lead offshore manufacturing partners in design evaluation, prototype builds, and qualification.
  • Lead failure analysis and corrective action at manufacturing sites, including assembly, testing, and calibration.
  • Evaluate and debug camera hardware at module and product levels for camera/depth design and integration.
  • Document camera-specific design, test, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Travel up to 20% to supplier facilities for development and production bring-up.
