Job summary

Daifuku Airport America Corporation seeks a Mechanical Design/CAD Supervisor to lead a core team of engineers producing mechanical drawings and equipment designs. You will manage resources, schedules, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining CAD standards and overseeing revision control.

The role requires advanced Autodesk proficiency, CAE experience, and strong leadership to drive innovation and coordinate with multiple project teams across sites.

Qualifications

• BSME or equivalent technical degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of lead design and estimating experience in industrial equipment.
• Strong communication skills for customer/supplier contact.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience handling multiple projects.
• Knowledge of CAE equipment and design automation tools.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk software: AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit.
• Experience developing and utilizing AutoLISP routines/macros.
• Knowledge of Inventor iLogic and data management with Vault.
• Strong file management, naming conventions and version control.
• Familiarity with data flow from conceptual design to ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP).

Responsibilities

• Staff allocation and talent development across the design team.
• Ensure high-quality, standardized group work products.
• Develop and maintain department drawings and tools.
• Drive process improvements and efficiency.
• Coordinate with peers, other departments, vendors.
• Schedule work across projects to meet deadlines and specs.
• Lead design changes affecting department deliverables.
• Maintain CAD database revision control and standards.
• Foster innovation and adoption of new components/technologies.
