Job summary

MFS Investment Management is seeking an experienced software engineering lead to drive development across Portfolio Accounting, Security Master, and related data management initiatives. You will lead projects end-to-end in an Agile setting, collaborating with business and technology teams to deliver scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes applying AI and Copilot technologies to enhance solution quality, mentoring junior engineers, and aligning with established standards and SDLC practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5–6+ years in Financial Services supporting Operations, Trading or Investment systems.
• Domain expertise in Trade Processing, Portfolio Accounting, Holdings Management, Corporate Actions Processing, Pricing & Valuation, and Security Master Reference Data.
• Knowledge of global settlement, payments, and reconciliation processes (e.g., T+1) and related risks including fails management and cash/collateral reconciliations.
• Experience with Eagle products (PACE database, STAR Accounting) and Eagle Web Panel designer.
• Familiarity with Microsoft AI ecosystem, including Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, and Power Platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from inception to completion, interpreting business requirements and mapping to design and implementation.
• Collaborate with analysts and end users to evaluate needs and select optimal technologies.
• Drive adoption of AI and Copilot technologies to improve quality and delivery.
• Stay current with emerging tech and assist architects in evaluating new products.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Document code and processes to aid maintenance and knowledge transfer.
• Manage multiple tasks and adhere to SDLC methodologies across projects.
• Create and improve processes, examine workflows, and standardize practices.
• Provide on-call support and ongoing process assistance.
• Participate in the development community of practice to promote innovation.
• Collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams.
