Job summary

Jobtailor in Chicago seeks a senior Oracle EBS/EPBCS/FP&A systems analyst to lead ERP initiatives and mentor teams. You will configure and support Oracle EPM tools, manage upgrades, and standardize processes across IT and finance, collaborating with vendors and business partners.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, strong leadership, and hands-on configuration of AP, AR, GL, and other modules in multi-org environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, IT, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in business systems analysis focusing on Oracle EBS financial modules.
• Proven leadership in ERP projects and mentoring teams.
• Hands-on experience configuring Oracle EBS R12 financial modules (AP, AR, GL, CM, FA, T&E, Projects) in a Multi-Org and Multi Currency environment.
• Experience with Consolidations, Bank Reconciliations, Expense Processing, Tax (Sales tax, Use tax, VAT) and Financial Reporting.
• Strong understanding of Oracle EPM (EPBCS, FCCS), EPM Automate.
• Knowledge of how Oracle EBS finance modules relate to Supply Chain, Distribution and master data.
• Experience with incident management systems like ServiceNow, JIRA.
• Ability to work with Oracle to chase SRs.
• Ability to collaborate with AMS vendors.
• Knowledge of finance integrations with AP Automations, Bank, Lockbox, Tax Engines, Forex Rates.
• Strong communication across all levels.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps.

• Configure and support Oracle EPM tools like EPBCS and FCCS.
• Collaborate with business clients, peers, and software suppliers (e.g., Oracle) to: Resolve application issues and implement best practice processes.
• Manage upgrades, enhancements, and new software implementations.
• Define and standardize business processes across IT teams for requirements gathering, technical specifications, and wireframing.
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops to document current and future state processes.
• Mentor and guide other analysts and team members in Oracle EBS and related systems.
• Translate complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
• Lead technology design sessions and ensure successful delivery through production.
• Promote collaboration across IT and business teams.
• Provide off-hours, on-call support for Oracle EBS as needed.
• Be priority on call POC during period end activities.
• Operate within an Agile Framework.
• Be able to participate in other functional design discussions (Supply Chain, Order Management, Procurement, Manufacturing etc) and articulate the corresponding Finance impacts.

• Proven leadership in managing ERP projects and mentoring teams.
• Hands‑on experience configuring (Design, Implementation and Support) Oracle EBS R12 financial modules of AP, AR, GL, CM, FA, T&E, Projects in a Multi‑Org and Multi Currency environment.
• Hands‑on experience in Consolidations, Bank Reconciliations, Expense Processing, Tax (Sales tax, Use tax, VAT) and Financial Reporting.
• Strong understanding of Oracle EPM (EPBCS, FCCS), EPM Automate.
• Strong fundamentals of how Financial applications in Oracle EBS relate to other areas of the application like Supply Chain, Distribution and strong understanding of the critical master data.
• Passion for learning and staying current with Oracle technologies.
• Ability to manage support, enhancement and project-related assignments using incident management systems like Service Now, JIRA etc.
• Ability to work with Oracle Corporation to chase/prioritize SRs.
• Ability to collaborate/oversee other AMS vendors in the landscape.
• Strong demonstrated knowledge of typical Finance integrations with third party applications …i.e. AP Automations, Bank, Lockbox, Tax Engines, Forex Rates etc.
• Capability to communicate effectively across all levels in the organization (Verbal and Written).
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps delivery models.
