Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Lead Business Operations/Contracts Supervisor in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will oversee the team delivering administrative contract support, ensuring vendor and partner relationships run smoothly and in compliance.

The role is hybrid with three days in office and two days remote, with some regional travel. You will set team goals, review contracts, monitor performance, and mentor staff while ensuring adherence to policies and processes.

Qualifications

  • Requires High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of related experience.
  • Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong ability to interpret and explain complex concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Set team goals for performance and deadlines; ensure alignment with company plans.
  • Create and review vendor contracts for eligibility and SLAs.
  • Monitor productivity and provide coaching and performance feedback.
  • Organize workflow and ensure duties are understood and executed.
  • Maintain timekeeping and personnel records; approve timecards.
  • Resolve escalated complaints and ensure policy compliance.
  • Lead by example and drive CBRE RISE values across the team.

This job is part of the Contract Quality Management jobfunction. They are responsible for managing the delivery of contractualservices to ensure requirements are fulfilled. This role will be hybrid with three days in office/two days working from home. Some travel may be required within a specific region.

What You’ll Do
  • Set the team goals for performance and deadlines. Ensure compliance with the company’s plans and vision.
  • Create and review vendor contracts for eligibility and service level agreements.
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
  • Announce important information from upper management to employees.
  • Maintain timekeeping and personnel records. Review and approve timecards.
  • Receive escalated complaints and resolve difficult problems.
  • Verify adherence to legal and company policies and procedures. Complete disciplinary actions if the need arises.
  • Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to existing solutions to accomplish team objectives.
  • May establish new techniques to ensure the team is able to meet its objectives.
  • Has a direct impact on the team objectives as well as the objectives of related teams.
  • Ensure personal and team outcomes have a positive impact on customer objectives.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Guide team through the application of basic knowledge of practices and procedures. Work to build consensus.
What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of job-related experience. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function and basic knowledge of related job functions required.
  • Requires the ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a master-level inquisitive mindset.
  • Exceptional math skills. Ability to calculate sophisticated figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

The minimum salary for the Lead Business Ops/Contracts Supervisor position is $65,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Lead Business Ops/Contracts Supervisor position is $85,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience.
