Job description

Immediate need for a talented Lead Business Intelligence Engineer. This is a 06+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in US (Remote).

Pay Range: $60 - $65/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models supporting Healthcare Quality, HEDIS, Pharmacy, and Medical Claims initiatives.
• Extend existing analytic products and partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable reporting solutions.
• Develop and optimize DAX, SQL, and data models.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to leverage enterprise data sources.
• Support testing, deployments, issue resolution, and ongoing enhancements.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and best practices guidance to team members.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in Power BI development and architecture, including advanced Power BI DAX and mixed semantic models.
• Strong skills in data modeling and SQL, with experience in dimensional modeling and star schema design.
• Proven experience in advanced SQL development and query optimization, particularly with large-scale analytical data warehouses.
• Experience in healthcare analytics, particularly with HEDIS/Quality reporting, Pharmacy (Rx), and Medical Claims data.
• Familiarity with provider, member, and measure-based reporting in a healthcare payer environment is preferred.
• Experience with modern analytics technologies and enterprise data platforms.
