Job summary

The Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education (ACPE) seeks a Business Analyst Officer to lead the Business Analyst Unit and serve as a senior project manager for the IT unit. The role ensures compliance with statutes and regulations while guiding staff and coordinating with executives.

As a key liaison between operations and technical teams, you will mentor analysts, manage multiple projects, and drive process improvements to support ACPE’s mission and priorities.

Qualifications

• Eight years work experience in analytical roles.
• Bachelor’s degree may substitute up to 4 years of work experience.
• Demonstrated supervisory or project management capacity.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex problems and provide direction for Business Analysts.
• Plan, schedule, and supervise BA operations.
• Provide project management leadership for large interdepartmental projects with cross‑functional teams.
• Develop test plans for software program enhancements and analyze results.
• Oversee staff and guide work priorities and organization.
