Job summary

Sprezzatura is seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst / Business Process Engineer to lead requirements and business process analysis for modernizing the VA’s Budget Tracking Tool. This working lead position oversees requirements across Functional Implementation and Data & Integrations, while also directly developing requirements.

The Lead BA will collaborate with VA stakeholders and technical teams to translate complex business, financial, and data needs into clear, implementation-ready

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• 7+ years of BA/Business Process Engineering in IT implementations.
• Lead or Senior BA with mentorship/oversight experience.
• Experience with elicitation, analysis, documentation, user stories, acceptance criteria, process modeling, and traceability.
• Experience facilitating sessions with business & technical teams.
• Agile delivery experience; ability to backlogs and sprints.
• VA/Federal government domain knowledge and relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements management across Functional Implementation and Data & Integrations workstreams.
• Guide and oversee BAs while developing requirements and artifacts.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, walkthroughs, and backlog refinement with VA stakeholders.
• Develop requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, processes and data needs.
• Translate current/future state processes into actionable requirements for OneStream config and implementation.
• Support integration requirements, mappings, data rules, reconciliation and interfaces.
• Ensure requirements are complete, traceable, prioritized, and ready for sprints.
