Job summary

Lindenwood University seeks a Lead Business Analyst to guide the PMO’s business analysis efforts, bridging stakeholders and technology across IT projects.

You will elicit, document, and validate complex requirements, lead junior analysts, and support process improvements aligned with university priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with extensive experience in business analysis and IT projects.
  • CBAP/PMI-PBA certification preferred; PMP preferred.
  • Experience leading a PMO-based business analysis team in complex environments.

Responsibilities

  • Leads requirements elicitation sessions with stakeholders and documents BRDs and use cases
  • Facilitates process mapping and BPMN modeling for as-is and to-be workflows
  • Ensures traceability and acceptance criteria; supports UAT and defect tracking
  • Translates technical concepts for non-technical audiences and executives
  • Manages change requests, scope, and risk across IT projects
  • Oversees data migration planning and system integration validation

This position is responsible for eliciting, analyzing, and documenting complex business requirements; facilitating process improvement initiatives; and leading junior analysts in delivering high-quality business analysis across Information Technology (IT) projects. The lead business analyst partners closely with project managers, IT leadership, and university departments to ensure that technology solutions align with strategic goals, operational needs, and user expectations.Essential Job Functions and Performance IndicatorsThe intent of this job description is to provide a representation of the types of duties and level of responsibility that will be required of positions given this title.
