Job summary

Photon in New York, NY (onsite) seeks a Lead Business Analyst to engage with sponsors, technical teams and end-users to elicit, clarify and align on requirements, ensuring solutions meet business goals.

Your focus includes requirements engineering using use cases, user stories and BPMN, plus deriving actionable insights from data and translating problems into tech solutions. You will lead workshops, mentor junior analysts, and drive consensus across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Stakeholder management – ability to engage effectively with business sponsors, technical teams, and end-users to elicit, clarify, and align on requirements.
• Requirements Engineering – strong capability in eliciting, documenting, analyzing, and validating business, functional, and non-functional requirements using structured techniques (e.g., use cases, user stories, BPMN).
• Analytical & Critical Thinking – skilled at problem decomposition, root-cause analysis, data interpretation, and translating business problems into actionable solutions.
• Domain & Technical Acumen – solid understanding of the business domain combined with familiarity with systems, data models, and technology constraints to bridge business and IT.
• Leadership & Facilitation – experience leading workshops, mentoring junior analysts, managing conflicting priorities, and driving consensus across cross-functional teams.
