A day in the Life:
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and repairs on compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, vessels, valves, and other refrigeration equipment.
  • Replace defective mechanical and manual valves, fan motors, and perform motor alignments.
  • Diagnose and address electrical problems, ensuring systems operate technically according to specifications.
  • Layout, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Routinely inspect facilities to detect malfunctions and ensure safe and effective operation.
  • Collaborate with outside contractors to ensure compliance with safety policies and work standards.
  • Participate in and complete required training sessions for facilities operations and safety.
  • Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System to manage work requests and the Building Automation System to monitor equipment and processes.
Keys to Success:
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Type II or EPA Universal Certification required
  • Preferred: Associate degree or technical training program plus 5+ years of experience.
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a mechanical/refrigeration/utilities field.
  • Strong knowledge in refrigeration, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&ID drawings/schematics.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license required for travel between sites.
Physical Requirements
  • Climbing ladders and working at heights up to 40 feet.
  • Ability to stand continuously and frequently walk, bend, and lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in both heat and cold environments.
  • Personal Protective Equipment Certification (PPE) is required.
