About the Role:
Join Appell Striping of North Jersey as a Pavement Maintenance Technician / Crew Lead and take charge of dynamic pavement maintenance projects in North Jersey. Be part of a dedicated team that prides itself on delivering high-quality striping, sealcoating, and asphalt repair services to enhance the safety and aesthetics of our community.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver our pavement maintenance services including line striping, sealcoating, crack filling, and asphalt repair to our commercial customers.
• Serve as the lead technician and crew lead in daily operations and project execution.
• Oversee and deliver the application of pavement marking materials and techniques to ensure quality results.
• Conduct site assessments, estimates, and prepare work plans for efficient project completion.
• Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
• Train and mentor team members on best practices and safety protocols.
• Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
• Monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring adherence to schedules.
• Implement safety measures and ensure compliance with industry and local regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in the pavement maintenance field including line striping, sealcoating, crack filling and asphalt repair; 3+ years of experience strongly .
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Valid driver's license; with a clean driving history .
• Willingness to travel as some jobs may require 1-2+ hours of drive time for several days in a row.
• Willingness to work non-standard hours as many customers require work be completed before they open or after they close.
• Knowledge of pavement marking materials, equipment, and application techniques.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read site plans to correctly execute a new layout for a parking lot or parking garage.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
