Job summary

University of Hawaii is seeking a Building and Grounds Custodian II to supervise and participate in routine manual work tasks for cleaning and maintaining buildings, grounds and walkways on campus.

The role requires at least two years of custodial experience, supervisory aptitude, and a valid driver's license; training may be provided for supervisory duties. This is a State of Hawaii civil service position based in Honolulu.

Qualifications

• Two years of progressively responsible custodial work experience.
• At least one year comparable to Building and Grounds Custodian II in State service.
• Valid driver’s license at the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and participates in routine manual work tasks in cleaning and maintaining buildings, grounds and walkways.
• Performs simple building maintenance and repair work as needed.
• Ensures safety and cleanliness of campus facilities and surrounding areas.
