Job summary

Urban Renaissance Group seeks a Chief Engineer 1 to supervise the engineering department and ensure safe, cost-effective operation of the facility's systems. You will oversee maintenance, capital projects, and energy efficiency initiatives, while mentoring staff and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and hands-on expertise with building systems.

Qualifications

• Experience commensurate with operating a facility of the assigned size.
• 3+ years progressive operations experience recommended.
• Licenses: stationary engineer and HVAC, plus universal refrigerant recovery license, required or preferred as noted.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineering department operations for the facility.
• Oversee installation, repair and maintenance of facility equipment.
• Develop and document safety plans and site standards and procedures.
• Schedule emergency repairs and manage preventive maintenance programs.
• Provide training and mentorship to engineering staff.
• Manage capital projects and capital expenditure budgets.
• Maintain energy efficiency and environmental responsibility programs.
