Job summary

Suncoast is seeking a skilled Carpenter to perform custom outdoor living installations across Plainfield, Indianapolis, and Central Indiana. You will build and install pergolas, patio covers, louvered roof systems, and motorized screens for residential and commercial clients.

The role emphasizes hands-on craftsmanship, attention to detail, and teamwork, with competitive hourly pay and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years proven construction, carpentry, or installation experience.
• Ability to read measurements and interpret drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Experience leading or mentoring others is an asset.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable using ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install custom outdoor structures including pergolas, patio enclosures, louvered roofs, and retractable screens.
• Load, transport, and organize tools and materials at job site.
• Read and work from drawings, measurements, and installation plans.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional worksite.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Communicate with customers during installations and represent the company professionally.
• Train and support crew as needed.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join our team as a skilled Carpenter specializing in custom outdoor living construction throughout Plainfield, Indianapolis, and nearby Central Indiana areas. In this role, you'll construct and install pergolas, patio covers, louvered roof systems, and motorized screens for both homeowners and commercial clients. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Install custom outdoor structures including patio enclosures, pergolas, louvered roofs, and retractable screens
• Load, transport, and organize tools and materials at job site
• Read and work from drawings, measurements, and installation plans
