Job summary

Suncoast is seeking skilled Carpenters or Helpers to support the installation of premium outdoor living products in the Chicagoland area. This full-time, on-site position offers steady work, advancement opportunities, and performance-based earning potential.

Responsibilities include interpreting specifications, assembling and installing structures, coordinating with the Project Manager, and ensuring safe, organized job sites while delivering quality workmanship to customers in Schaumburg,

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry or installation.
• Ability to read measurements and drawings.
• Willingness to lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors.

• Use construction tools while following safety procedures.
• Prepare job sites by coordinating equipment, materials, and tools.
• Coordinate daily installation activities with the Project Manager to meet timelines and workmanship standards.
• Keep work areas organized, secure, and presentable throughout installation.
• Provide courteous interactions with homeowners, contractors, and stakeholders on-site.
• Assist with onboarding and mentoring less experienced crew members.

CARPENTER

Schaumburg, Illinois (Chicago) | On-Site | Full-Time | Monday - Friday + Overtime as Required

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for skilled Carpenters or Helpers to join the Suncoast Team as we open our new Chicagoland suburban location. Team members will help install custom outdoor living products such as patio covers, pergola systems, motorized screens, and specialty outdoor structures at homes and select commercial properties throughout communities including Schaumburg, Naperville, and surrounding suburban areas.

This is a full-time opportunity offering steady work, room for advancement, leadership potential, and performance-based earning opportunities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Interpret project specifications, layouts, site measurements, and construction drawings to complete installations accurately.
• Assemble and install premium outdoor living products such as screen rooms, patio covers, adjustable louver systems, pergolas, and motorized screening solutions.
• Use a variety of construction tools and equipment while following company safety procedures.
• Prepare job sites by coordinating equipment, materials, and tools required for each project.
• Coordinate daily installation activities with the Project Manager to maintain timelines, workmanship standards, and overall project success.
  
• Ensure all work areas remain organized, secure, and presentable throughout the installation process.
• Provide courteous and professional interaction with homeowners, contractors, and other stakeholders on-site.
• Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and guiding less experienced crew members when required.
  

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Proven construction, carpentry, or installation experience
• Ability to read measurements and interpret drawings
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience leading or mentoring others is an asset
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs regularly
• Comfortable using ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

WHAT WE OFFER

• Competitive hourly pay ranging from $18-$20/hour (helpers) and $25-$30/hour (builders)
