Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years in broadcast/engineering with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of FCC compliance and TV operations.
• Experience managing operating and capital budgets.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
• Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead all technical operations for the station including studio production, newsroom tech, and master control.
• Ensure reliable, compliant operation of transmitters, RF systems, and critical infrastructure.
• Protect the station license through regulatory compliance and documentation.
• Develop an engineering culture focused on safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Manage and develop the engineering team with staffing, training, and succession planning.
• Partner with leadership to align engineering with business and audience goals.
• Plan and track annual operating and capital budgets, vendor selection, and project delivery.
• Lead capital projects from concept to implementation with minimal disruption.
