Job summary

Griffin Media Center in Tulsa seeks an Engineering Supervisor to oversee a team of broadcast engineers, ensuring efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all broadcast systems. You will guide day-to-day activities, ensure FCC compliance, and collaborate on technical projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include supervising 3 engineers, coordinating installs and maintenance, and providing advanced technical support for live and remote broadcasts, with emphasis on safety

Qualifications

• 5+ years in broadcast engineering, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of RF, digital video/audio standards, and IP-based solutions.
• Proficient in broadcast-related software and tools.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of FCC regulations and industry standards.
• SBE Certification preferred.
• Ability to work at heights and outdoors at transmitter sites.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 3 Broadcast Engineers, coordinating tasks and schedules.
• Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of broadcast equipment.
• Collaborate with Director of Engineering on system upgrades and projects.
• Provide advanced technical support for audio, video, and transmission.
• Maintain inventory records, maintenance schedules, and SOPs.
• Assist with training and recruitment of engineers.
• Drive an automobile for company business as needed.
