Job summary

New York City Department of Transportation, Division of Bridges, is seeking a Supervisor Bridge Painter to lead a crew responsible for painting bridges and managing rigging and scaffolding operations at the 390 Kent Ave location in Brooklyn. Under general supervision, you will assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure work complies with agency and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications include six years of full-time bridge painting experience, at least one year in a supervisory role, and a Class B

Qualifications

• Six years of full-time satisfactory experience painting bridges, towers, tanks, or other elevated structures where rigging and scaffolding are used.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
• Must possess strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct a crew of bridge painters.
• Monitor and evaluate performance to ensure compliance with agency, city, state, federal and OSHA guidelines.
• Oversee rigging and scaffolding operations and ensure crew safety.
• Record and maintain daily crew logs and related administrative duties.
