Job summary

The role requires a B.S. in Civil Engineering with 10+ years in transportation structures, PE preferred or attainable, and strong skills in MicroStation, STAAD, and PENNDOT software.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years transportation experience with structures, bridge design, inspection, load rating, and project delivery.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain.
• Proficiency in MicroStation, STAAD, and PENNDOT design software; familiarity with NYSDOT/PennDOT standards.
• Strong ownership, client service, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead bridge design tasks including load rating, structural analysis, foundation design, inspection support, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Develop design plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, budgets, and documentation aligned with scope and schedule.
• Support planning meetings, client coordination, regulatory approvals, RFIs, construction-phase services, site visits, and technical issue resolution.
• Review plans and bridge deliverables for quality, accuracy, constructability, code compliance, safety, and client expectations.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, engineers, inspectors, subconsultants, clients, DOTs, approving agencies, and junior staff while mentoring technical development.
