Job summary

Austin Industrial seeks a Boilermaker Leadman for our Pasadena, TX site. You will construct, assemble, maintain and repair stationary boilers and boiler house equipment. Proficiency in blueprint reading, welding, and rigging is essential.

Required are 4 years journeyman-level experience, NCCER Boilermaker certification, a valid driver’s license, and a TWIC card. This is a full-time, on-site role with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level experience (4 years) required.
• NCCER Boilermaker certification, a Valid Driver’s License, and a TWIC Card are required.
• Blueprint reading and boiler maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine boilers, pressure vessels, tanks to locate defects for repair.
• Bolt or arc welds pressure vessel structures and parts.
• Inspect vessels and components for defects and test assemblies.
• Repair or replace defective parts using welding and metalworking tools.
• Assist in hoisting and positioning heavy boiler components.
• Install fittings, taps, and connections in boiler drums as needed.
• Study blueprints to determine locations and dimensions of parts.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work site.
