Job summary

SEGULA Technologies is seeking a BIW Structural CAE Engineer to join its technical design development team in Auburn Hills, MI. You will lead system- and component-level CAE simulations for BIW structures, driving structural performance optimization through NVH, durability, and crash analyses.

Responsibilities span rapid concept design modeling, benchmark studies, cross-functional collaboration with design and supplier teams, and validation against physical tests to continuously improve model

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of CAE modeling and structural simulation experience.
Proficiency in linear and nonlinear FEA and RCD/CAE modeling for NVH and static analysis.
Strong understanding of automotive materials, welding/joining and manufacturing constraints.

Responsibilities

Build Rapid Concept Design (RCD) models and FEM to evaluate NVH, durability, and crush performance; perform linear and nonlinear FEA.
Benchmark BIW architectures and apply topology optimization to improve structural efficiency.
Collaborate with design, CAE teams, and suppliers to track progress and ensure timely model delivery.
Correlate physical test data with virtual results to continually improve model accuracy.
Develop and share methodologies aligned with automotive industry advances in simulation tools.
