Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field; master's degree is a plus.
• 3+ years of product development experience in bioprocessing, life sciences, medical devices, or regulated products.
• Experience with Creo, PLM/PDM, FEA; knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Hands-on engineering with prototype fabrication and testing (metal/plastic), welding, additive manufacturing.
• Ability to mentor engineers and collaborate across functions; work with suppliers and manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and refinement of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems to meet performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability goals.
• Create and review engineering drawings, specifications, 3D models, and other design outputs using CAD tools and standard design practices.
• Maintain bills of materials (BOMs) in MRP/ERP systems and lead engineering change request (ECR) and engineering change order (ECO) activities.
• Define and document design inputs while maintaining traceability between requirements, design outputs, risk management, and verification activities per GDP.
• Lead technical activities for assigned projects by mentoring junior engineers, facilitating design reviews, resolving technical challenges, and promoting engineering best practices.
