Job summary

TRIMEDX in Illinois is seeking a senior Biomedical Equipment Technician to take ownership of complex medical devices, drive uptime, safety, and performance. You will diagnose advanced issues, advise clinicians, and mentor technicians to raise the team's capability.

Applicants should have 5+ years of biomedical equipment experience in a clinical engineering setting, an electronics/technical degree, and travel flexibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of biomedical equipment experience in a clinical engineering setting.
• Strong expertise in complex systems, diagnostics, networking, and hardware repair.
• Associate degree in electronics/technical field; bachelor’s degree preferred; CBET certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of highly complex equipment—driving uptime, safety, and performance.
• Solve advanced technical issues others can’t, from system diagnostics to networked devices.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clinicians and leadership on equipment use and strategy.
• Lead projects and mentor technicians, raising the capability of the entire team.
