Capital i is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician III at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. The senior role maintains, calibrates, troubleshoots, and supports lifecycle management of diverse medical devices while providing technical leadership within the Biomedical Engineering department.

The position requires five years of hospital equipment experience, BA/BS in a related field or HTM/BMET cert, and strong proficiency in CMMS, Microsoft Office, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in biomedical equipment technology, biomedical engineering technology, electronics, engineering, information technology, or related field; equivalent training or experience.
• Minimum of five years hospital/healthcare medical equipment maintenance experience.
• Experience in Biomedical Engineering dept, clinical engineering operations, or healthcare technology management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience with CMMS and asset management software.

Responsabilités

• Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and support lifecycle of medical equipment.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and advanced diagnostic support.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements (FDA, Joint Commission, ISO, AAMI).
• Operate and apply biomedical/test equipment for inspection, calibration, and repair of devices.
