Job summary

Goldbelt, Inc. is seeking a Senior Bioinformatician to lead sequencing analytics and pipeline development for national wastewater surveillance.

You will design scalable workflows, implement QA/QC, and collaborate with epidemiologists, laboratorians, and software engineers to translate sequencing data into public health insights. Qualifications

• Advanced degree in bioinformatics or related field with strong computational training
• 5–8 years of related experience in genomic data analysis and pipelines
• Experience with high-throughput sequencing and environmental/metagenomic data

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of scalable bioinformatics workflows for wastewater sequencing
• Mentor junior bioinformaticians and ensure reproducibility of analyses
• Collaborate with epidemiologists and software engineers to translate surveillance needs into computational solutions
• Develop and validate statistical models for variant detection and abundance estimation
• Architect cloud-based infrastructure supporting national surveillance data
