Job summary

The Madison Metropolitan School District is seeking a Director of Bi-Literacy & Language to provide strategic leadership for English language instruction, biliteracy programs, and literacy initiatives across the district.

This year-round role leads professional development, guides assessment and data analysis in multiple languages, and collaborates with central office teams to advance culturally responsive, anti-racist education in all schools.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Educational Administration or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in progressively responsible school leadership roles.
• Building-level Principal experience is preferred.
• Bilingual skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership, coordination, and oversight for curriculum alignment.
• Lead professional development for staff on biliteracy and reading.
• Supervise, evaluate, and mentor coordinators and teacher leaders.
