Qualifications

Must pass MMSD reading, writing, and oral proficiency assessment in target language and English.

Responsibilities

Maintain and adhere to a weekly schedule of EL support and services.
Provide academic, linguistic, and cultural support in classrooms with teaching staff.
Facilitate and enhance communication, including translation and interpretation.
Build relationships with English Learners (ELs) and their families.
Assist ESL/BRT with Home Language Survey and ESL status communications.
Ensure EL records are complete and current.
Help transition newcomers into student life with social, emotional, and academic support.
Participate with ESL/BRT to plan and differentiate instructional programs for ELs.
Provide support to ELs in core instruction in an inclusive environment.
Provide interpretation at school events and meetings.
