Job summary

CLS Law Firm in Miami seeks an experienced Associate Immigration Attorney to independently manage complex immigration matters and supervise the legal support team. The ideal candidate has substantial immigration litigation experience and can take ownership from consultation through final resolution while ensuring exceptional client representation.

The candidate should be comfortable making decisions, meeting deadlines, and leading staff in a fast-paced practice.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active U.S. Bar membership; Florida Bar preferred.
Minimum 5 years of immigration law experience, especially in immigration court litigation.
Fluent in English and Spanish with excellent written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

Independently manage a full immigration caseload from consultation through resolution.
Represent clients before USCIS, EOIR, and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), as well as federal courts where authorized.
Handle complex removal defense matters, including asylum, cancellation of removal, adjustment of status, waivers, bond proceedings, and appeals.
Prepare and litigate motions to reopen, motions to reconsider, stays of removal, and other immigration-related motions.
Supervise paralegals, legal assistants, and case managers assigned to immigration matters.
Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case developments, expectations, and legal options.
