Job summary

Austin Country Club in Austin, TX is seeking a full-time Lead Beverage and Food Server. You will lead setup, greet members, guide menu selections, and coordinate service to ensure exceptional hospitality.

Shifts typically range 4 to 8+ hours with weekday, weekend, and holiday availability. Base pay is $13/hour with an 18% service charge on food and beverage sales, plus generous benefits such as health, dental & vision, life and disability insurance, 5 PTO days, 401k match up to 4%, and free duty

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in restaurant serving (club experience is a plus).
• Deep knowledge of wine, liquor, beer, food, and proper service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team player mentality.
• Genuine passion for hospitality and guest service.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs. and stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.

ABOUT THIS LEAD BEVERAGE AND FOOD SERVER ROLE

This is a full-time hospitality position offering flexible scheduling. Shifts typically range from 4 to 8+ hours, with weekday, weekend, and holiday availability required. Occasionally, you will work split shifts as needed to meet the club's service standards and member needs.

As a Lead Beverage and Food Server, you will begin your day by leading the setup of the dining area, ensuring everything is pristine for members' arrival. Throughout your shift, you will deliver first-class service, greet and seat members with warmth and professionalism, and assist them with food and beverage selections, confidently explaining menu details and preparation methods. You will support your fellow team members and managers, anticipate and fulfill member needs, and engage with guests to make everyone feel welcome and at home.

You will maintain a presentable and inviting environment, enforce safety and sanitation standards, and act as a liaison between the front and back of house. During service, you will ensure member checks are accurate, handle checkout procedures and tip-outs, and troubleshoot issues promptly. At the end of your shift, you will oversee the breakdown and closing duties, lead monthly inventory, and provide feedback to management, all while embodying the values, pride, and standards of Austin Country Club.
