Dona Ana County Crisis Triage Center in Las Cruces, NM seeks a Lead Behavioral Health Associate to supervise and support a treatment team. You will provide continuous patient care, ensure safety, monitor behaviors, and mentor BHAs to uphold care standards.

You will oversee daily activities, run educational groups, document accurately, and respond to crises with de-escalation and appropriate interventions. On-site role with a focus on patient wellness and program adherence.

Competenze

• High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s in human services preferred.
• At least two years’ experience as a BHA required.
• Experience with the facility’s population and psychiatric concepts strongly preferred.
• Strong de-escalation and crisis-intervention skills are essential.
• Knowledge of treatment modalities and safety procedures is expected.

• Provide continuous patient care, supervision, and safety in a structured environment.
• Observe and report patient behaviors; document in medical records promptly.
• Assist with daily living activities and patient transportation as needed.
• Lead educational-rehabilitative groups and teach coping/skill-building topics.
• Apply de-escalation techniques and assist with seclusion/restraints when required.
• Mentor BHAs, coordinate admissions/discharges, and support shift transitions.
