Job summary

Pearson Carter Limited is seeking a Lead Technical Business Central Consultant with a Finance & Integrations focus. This remote-first role in the UK demands ownership of finance workstreams and technical solution design for BC implementations.

You will drive end-to-end projects, design robust integrations, and lead workshops to translate business needs into functional specs. Occasional UK travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, especially finance functionality.
• Proven leadership of finance workstreams or end-to-end BC implementations.
• Solid understanding of finance processes: GL, purchasing, sales, VAT, cash management, financial reporting.
• Hands-on BC integrations with REST APIs, OData and web services.
• Knowledge of authentication methods including OAuth 2.0 and Microsoft Entra ID.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Dynamics 365 Business Central finance implementations from discovery to go-live.
• Own finance workstreams: config, process design and solution delivery.
• Design and specify integrations between BC and external platforms.
• Work with REST APIs, OData, web services and middleware integration approaches.

Are you an experienced Dynamics 365 Business Central Consultant looking to take the next step in your career?

We're working with an established Microsoft Dynamics Partner looking for a Lead Technical Business Central Consultant to join their growing team.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of finance-led Business Central implementations while playing a key role in shaping technical solutions, integrations and overall project delivery.

Rather than simply delivering predefined solutions, you'll have the autonomy to influence how systems are designed, integrated and implemented.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Dynamics 365 Business Central finance implementations, from initial discovery through to go-live.




• Take ownership of finance workstreams, including configuration, process design and solution delivery.




• Design and specify integrations between Business Central and external platforms.




• Work with REST APIs, OData, web services and middleware integration approaches.




• Collaborate with developers and solution architects to deliver scalable, secure and maintainable solutions.




• Lead customer workshops, gather requirements and translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, particularly finance functionality.




• Proven experience leading finance workstreams or delivering end-to-end BC implementations.




• Good understanding of finance processes, including general ledger, purchasing, sales, VAT, cash management and financial reporting.




• Hands-on experience with Business Central integrations, REST APIs, OData and web services.




• Understanding of authentication methods, including OAuth 2.0 and Microsoft Entra ID.

Desirable Experience

• Power Platform, Power Automate or Dataverse.




• Azure integration services, including Logic Apps, Functions or Service Bus.




• Understanding of AL development, extensions and API pages.




• Experience integrating Business Central with CRM, banking, payroll, e-commerce or other third-party platforms.
