Job summary
Synergia Automotive LLC in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Lead Product Engineer to own battery pack design, safety validation, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, sales, and customers. You will establish product specifications, drive DVP plans, and ensure compliance to ISO/UL standards while coordinating with OEM partners.
The role requires 7+ years in product engineering within electronics or mobility, experience with DOORS/Integrity/ViSure, and strong systems engineering skills
Qualifications
- Experience in electronics, battery or mobility industries.
- Knowledge of a requirements management tool.
- Familiarity with ISO 26262 or equivalent standards.
- Ability to create and maintain design and safety documentation.
Responsibilities
- Review customer requirements and develop technical system specifications.
- Apply systems engineering methodologies to design battery packs for customized applications.
- Lead safety analyses (HARA, DFMEA, FMEDA) of the project.
- Develop safety processes to meet certification requirements.
- Prepare documents for compliance to ISO, UL and other specs.
- Partner with test and simulation teams to form a DVP plan for verification and validation.
- Collaborate with OEM partner engineering teams to ensure proper processes and integration.
- Report progress, identify risks, and propose mitigations.
- Ensure OSHA safety requirements are followed.
