Job summary

J. Blanton is seeking a skilled Bathroom Remodeling Installer with extensive plumbing experience to lead installations in our shower remodeling division. Use your plumbing and carpentry know-how to install shower walls, walls, and flooring while delivering high-quality workmanship and safety.

This role requires autonomy, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints, coordinate with the Project Manager and customers, and ensure timely delivery for Chicagoland bathroom projects.

Qualifications

• Experience as a bathroom remodeling installer with residential plumbing.
• At least 5 years of experience in carpentry and remodeling.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Valid plumbing license or current apprenticeship status.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good physical condition and ability to work in tight spaces.
• Professional appearance and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Walk through the job with the Project Manager and customer by completing the pre-installation checklist.
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including water supply lines, drainage, and fixtures.
• Diagnose plumbing issues and perform repairs, including leaks or fixture replacements.
• Build and repair walls, patch drywall, and apply high-quality paint finishes as needed for remodeling projects.
• Install shower wall systems.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings for plumbing and remodeling jobs.
• Install LVP flooring, including sub-floor repairs on certain projects.
• Installation of vanities.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and meet safety standards.
• Communicate professionally with clients and provide excellent customer service.
