Job summary

Actalent seeks a Process Controls Engineer to lead architecture and implementation of FactoryTalk Batch systems for wet wipe manufacturing. You will optimize batch processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive improvements across multiple facilities while providing technical leadership and mentorship.

The role requires 12+ years of automation experience, strong Rockwell/ISA-88 expertise, and the ability to travel up to 30% and support manufacturing sites remotely from a base in Morristown,

Qualifications

• Requires 12+ years in automation/control engineering with batch systems.
• Expertise with FactoryTalk Batch and Rockwell PLCs.
• Experience in CIP/SIP cleaning and data reporting.
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of ISA-88 compliant Batch systems.
• Translate process requirements into scalable batch recipes and automation strategies.
• Architect and optimize blending, dosing, transfer, and thermal processes for wet wipe manufacturing.
• Develop and govern batch recipes, models, and exception handling.
• Define batch execution standards with interlocks, alarms, and batch records.
• Ensure batch traceability, historization, and integration with Quality systems.
