Job summary

Starboard Controls is seeking a Lead Field Engineer – BAS in Massachusetts. This role demands ownership of field execution from installation through commissioning, with deep BAS expertise and the ability to lead cross-functional teams on complex projects.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in BAS field work, proficiency with Delta Controls/Tridium Niagara, and a strong safety mindset. On-site leadership and travel across construction sites are required.

Qualifications

10+ years of hands-on field experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS).
Mastery of control wiring diagrams and low-voltage power distribution.
Ability to read mechanical prints, electrical schematics, and control sequences.
Valid driver''s license and willingness to travel to various construction sites.
OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide technical direction to electrical and mechanical contractors to ensure BAS installations meet design specs and submittals.
Conduct job site walkthroughs to audit installation workmanship and resolve deviations.
Lead onsite safety leadership to ensure compliance with policies.
Coordinate daily field activities with Project Managers, Field Operations, and GC/Mechanical superintendents for seamless workflow.
Lead network startup, point-to-point validation, and device calibration during commissioning.
Maintain meticulous as-built documentation and checkout logs for engineering handover.
