Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Lead Bartender for Waterfront Bar & Grill at Horseshoe Bay Resort to craft standout cocktails and lead a busy, waterfront venue. You will supervise bartenders, ensure service excellence, and manage inventory while maintaining a welcoming, upscale atmosphere for guests and resort members.

The role requires previous bartending and leadership experience, knowledge of wines and spirits, and adherence to health and safety standards in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience required.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Resort, hospitality, restaurant, or high-volume upscale bar experience preferred.
• Valid TABC Certificate required.
• Valid Food Handler's Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Craft and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages per recipes and standards.
• Lead and support bartenders and bar staff across shifts.
• Provide attentive, professional, and personalized guest service to drive repeat visits.
• Maintain inventory, par levels, and a clean, organized bar area.
• Coach and mentor team members and uphold service standards.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation compliance across the bar.

We are seeking a Lead Bartender to join the team at Waterfront Bar & Grill, one of the resort's most popular dining and entertainment venues.

Waterfront Bar & Grill welcomes guests arriving by boat, car, or private jet for lakeside dining, handcrafted cocktails, and live music. Featuring both indoor and outdoor waterfront seating, the restaurant offers a vibrant atmosphere paired with chef-inspired fresh seafood and from-scratch cuisine inspired by Southern and Mexican flavors. From elevated seafood dishes and barbacoa flautas to tenderloin chops and classic smash burgers, Waterfront Bar & Grill delivers memorable dining experiences for resort guests, members, and visitors alike.

Position Summary

As the Lead Bartender, you will be responsible for creating exceptional beverages while serving as a key leader within the bar operation. You will support daily service, guide team members, maintain operational excellence, and ensure every guest receives outstanding hospitality. In the absence of management, you will oversee shift operations, make staffing adjustments as needed, and help ensure smooth execution from opening through close.

Craft Exceptional Beverages

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards
• Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with all TABC regulations
• Maintain extensive knowledge of wines, spirits, beers, and specialty cocktails

Lead the Team

• Direct and support bartenders and bar staff throughout each shift
• Delegate responsibilities and help manage staffing needs when necessary
• Serve as a resource for associates and assist in resolving operational challenges

Deliver Outstanding Guest Experiences

• Provide attentive, professional, and personalized service
• Create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits
• Recommend menu items and beverage pairings to enhance the guest experience

Maintain Operational Excellence

• Monitor inventory levels and maintain proper stock
• Complete liquor requisitions and uphold established par levels
• Ensure the bar remains organized, clean, and presentation-ready

Train and Develop Associates

• Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to team members
• Reinforce service standards and operational procedures
• Foster teamwork and support a culture of continuous improvement

Ensure Safety and Sanitation

• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Support compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

Experience

• Previous bartending experience required
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Resort, hospitality, restaurant, or high-volume upscale bar experience preferred

Certifications

• Valid TABC Certificate required
• Valid Food Handler's Certificate required

Skills

• Strong leadership and communication abilities
• Excellent guest service and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age; 21+ preferred
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift supplies as needed
• Must maintain professional appearance and uniform standards, including slip-resistant footwear
