Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a bartender to support the F&B Operational Manager and oversee the dining program at the community level. The role includes opening/closing the bar, training staff, and assisting with catering and events to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in bartending or serving, a GED or high school diploma, and the ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays; professional appearance, strong communication, and

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• At least 1 year experience as a bartender/server.
• Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Superior customer service skills / guest service focused.
• A positive attitude and friendly personality are essential.
• Ability to represent the restaurant with a professional image.
• Excellent communication skills, both in person, through emails, and over the phone.

Responsibilities

• Open and close procedures, table service, food prep, cash handling and inventory, and making drinks.
• Possessing a large knowledge of drink recipes and checking IDs.
• Maintain bar area cleanliness, replace kegs, supervise staff, and manage customer concerns.
• Take orders and deliver food and drinks, coordinate with wait staff and kitchen for efficient service.
• Assist with the management of support staff.
