Job summary

Forget About Hospitality in New York City is seeking a Lead Bartender to head daily bar service and deliver exceptional guest experiences through hospitality, beverage quality, and teamwork.

The ideal candidate has extensive cocktail knowledge, Italian spirits experience, and strong leadership capabilities, with authorization to work in the United States. This is a full-time, on-site role with compensation of $18.00 per hour plus tips.

Qualifications

• At least three years of professional bartending experience.
• Experience coordinating service or leading bartenders is strongly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and beverage-service techniques.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily execution of bar service and maintain a visible, hands-on presence behind the bar.
• Coordinate workflow, service priorities, stations, preparation, restocking, and side work during assigned shifts.
• Train, coach, and support bartenders, junior bartenders, and barbacks on recipes, service techniques, product knowledge, and company standards.
• Provide real-time operational direction during service and communicate performance or conduct concerns to management.
• Support a respectful, professional, collaborative, and positive work environment.
• Assist management with operational observations and recommendations without independently making employment decisions.
