Job summary

TPG Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Lead Bartender to oversee daily bar operations, ensure top-tier guest experiences, and lead a hospitality-focused team. You will manage inventory, purchasing, and staff development while maintaining standards for service, compliance, and responsible alcohol service.

The role requires 3–5 years of bartending experience with leadership exposure, deep knowledge of beverages, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of bartending experience, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits.
• Experience with inventory management, purchasing, and beverage cost control.
• Excellent customer service, leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example with exceptional hospitality and high service standards.
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop bartenders and bar staff.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members.
• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback for growth and accountability.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team culture and align with leadership goals.
• Serve as the leadership presence during bar service and resolve issues.
• Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages while following recipes and standards.
• Maintain knowledge of beverage menu and pairings to recommend to guests.
• Ensure beverages are visually appealing and well-presented.
• Manage bar setup, inventory, and cleanliness across shifts.
• Handle cash, card, and POS transactions per procedures.
• Collaborate with servers, culinary staff, and management for smooth service.
• Monitor inventory, place orders, and control costs to minimize waste.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and alcohol service regulations.
• Complete inventory, ordering, and operational reports on schedule.
• Contribute to beverage menu development and promotional initiatives.
